Has all the tools to become one of the all-time greats for the Coat Factory, as long as he can stay healthy. Reed is projected as not only a superior defender but also a clog in the middle of the lineup for years to come. Grew a porn-stache to be like his childhood idol Chris Welsh.
2. Jose Segui - 3B (AAA)
There is nothing that Segui will not be able to do well. He projects as an outstanding defender at 3B and will pair with Reed to give the Coat Factory another amazing bat. Should establish himself as a perennial All-Star.
3. Bernie Pena - SP (AAA)
Pena could become a dominant….well the Coat Factory aren’t sure if he will be a SP or a Long Reliever since his stamina projects fairly low. His control and splits paired with his velocity could allow him to be a special pitcher. 2 above average pitches should fair well against MLB hitters.
4. Archie Herzner - CF (HiA)
Herzner is the prototypical CFer except his contact will be below average. He could contend for gold gloves in CF and will be extremely successful swiping bases. Injuries could be a concern, think of Ryan Freel without Farney.
5. Orlando Santiago - C (AAA)
The pride of New Westminster, grew up wanting to be the trainer of a champion dog for his hometown Westminster Kennel Club. Instead he has established himself up as one of the top catching prospects in all of baseball. Should be a solid hitter and his game calling skills will remind many of Johnny Bench. He will likely only play 100 games max per season due to low durability.
6. Julio Lopez - SP (HiA)
The IFA signing for this season projects as a solid SP3 or SP4 with an exceptional split-finger FB and an above average slider. Has a sweet soul patch that drives the ladies crazy.
7. Josh Hudson - SP (AA)
Projects as a solid back end SP with outstanding stamina and control. May give up hits to wrong-handers but should succeed against righties. His velocity is lacking and has Little Leaguers everywhere licking their chops, but he has been extremely successful in the minors.
